Use 5–10 drops of essential oils in a nighttime suppository.
Liquid coconut oil is used as the carrier oil because it promotes the absorption of other oils and provides antiseptic and disinfectant properties.
The following essential oils used in homemade suppositories may support the prostate by helping to reduce infection and swelling, improve urinary tract function, improve circulation, improve sexual function, and relieve pain.
- Rosemary essential oil is anti-bacterial, an immune stimulant, and helps to relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
- Myrtle is antimicrobial and may help reduce hormonal imbalances.
- Thyme supports the immune and reproductive systems.
- Frankincense is known to reduce pain and inflammation.
- Myrrh has a relaxing effect on muscles, and also has anti-inflammatory benefits.
- Sage can be effective at fighting bacterial infections and supports the reproductive, respiratory, and nervous systems.
- Spruce (Tsuga) helps to relieve muscle pain and may help boost testosterone levels.
