Take on an empty stomach: half or a whole teaspoon twice a day, before breakfast and before lunch.
In capsule form, take 2 capsules three times a day before meals.

For men, women and children.

One of the most important properties of Nigella sativa oil is accelerating metabolism, which promotes detoxification and cleansing of harmful substances from the body. Detoxification occurs through the oil’s ability to lower blood sugar. The product improves metabolism and reduces an increased appetite.
The oil helps regulate body weight and eliminate excess weight. In 2018, the journal Ethnopharmacology published the results of an experiment confirming the effectiveness of Nigella sativa oil for weight loss. Study participants took 1 gram of caraway oil (in capsules) three times a day before meals. It was found that Nigella sativa oil reduces the harm caused by obesity and blocks inflammatory processes.

For disease prevention, adults are recommended to take 1 to 2.5 grams of oil orally on an empty stomach twice a day. Children may take half a teaspoon in the morning on an empty stomach. The preventive treatment course should not exceed four months. To determine the correct amount for a specific disease, consult a doctor.

Nigella sativa oil for men. Doctors believe that Nigella sativa oil benefits male sexual function. The product stimulates testosterone production and improves circulation. Nigella sativa oil is effective as an adjunct in treating prostatitis. It is essential for heart health. Thymoquinone in the oil normalises blood pressure and controls cholesterol levels.

Nigella sativa oil for women. Women can use Nigella sativa oil to increase fertility, which is important in cases of infertility. The oil remains one of the natural remedies that help improve reproductive function. The product increases libido and promotes good circulation. By taking the oil daily, a woman increases her chances of becoming pregnant because circulation in the pelvic organs is normalised.

Nigella sativa oil for children. Nigella sativa oil is beneficial for children with constipation or colic. It strengthens the nervous system and prevents impaired functioning. Its vitamin content supports bone formation in growing children. Experts do not specify an exact age from which Nigella sativa oil can be used. Some believe it can be given from six years of age. Other experts recommend it for children from three years of age. In any case, Nigella sativa oil may cause allergies in children and must therefore not be given to children under one year old.

Therapeutic properties of Nigella sativa oil

Nigella sativa oil is traditionally used to treat disorders and diseases of the respiratory system, digestive tract, kidneys and liver, and cardiovascular system. The product also supports overall health, relieves fatigue and improves mood.
Nigella sativa oil is also used externally as an antiseptic.

Asthma: Studies have shown that Nigella sativa oil relieves asthma symptoms. It acts like a bronchodilator, increasing airflow to the lungs. In asthma, the oil should be used after consulting a doctor, as the product can enhance the effects of other medicines.

Allergy: For people with allergic rhinitis, Nigella sativa oil is effective for difficulty breathing, a runny nose, itching in the nasal cavity and coughing. Scientists at Tikrit University (Iraq) found that substances in Nigella sativa oil dilate blood vessels and clear the airways. The oil has an antihistamine effect, helping reduce allergic reactions.

Fungal infection: In folk medicine, Nigella sativa oil is popular for treating nail fungus. It is applied to the affected nail plate. It is often used in combination with tea tree oil.

In the treatment of tumours: A scientific experiment in Singapore showed that the plant substances in Nigella sativa oil reduce the volume of tumour cells by almost half. Scientists at the National University of Singapore noted that this concerned tumours of the pancreas, prostate gland, lungs and colon. A positive role during chemotherapy treatment is also noted.

For gastrointestinal disorders: Nigella sativa oil improves food absorption, relieves diarrhoea and flatulence, and also has an antiparasitic effect. It is also taken to treat Helicobacter infection.

Use in cosmetology: Nigella sativa oil benefits the scalp, reduces hair loss, improves hair structure and adds shine. It reduces dandruff.

For facial skin: The antioxidants in Nigella sativa oil slow skin ageing and restore cells. After using the oil, the skin becomes elastic; the oil reduces expression lines, fights acne and lightens pigmentation spots.

Composition

Organic, cold-pressed Nigella sativa oil of the highest quality, gelatin (capsule).

Nigella sativa oil contains plant hormones, active substances and vitamins:
Melatonin. Nigella sativa oil contains melatonin, the so-called sleep hormone produced by the brain at night. For prevention and a full night’s sleep, take one teaspoon of oil before bed. The oil contains a complex of nutrients, including amino acids, vitamins and phytosterols.
Thymoquinone. Thymoquinone is a biologically active component of Nigella sativa. Its effectiveness has been proven in treating many diseases: Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, liver function disorders, periodontal disease, stomatitis, cancer and many others. Thymoquinone fights inflammation, participates in metabolism and relieves pain.
Phytosterols. This substance helps regulate cholesterol. These substances also play a particular role for the skin because they produce collagen and reduce its loss.
Amino acids. More than 85% of Nigella sativa oil consists of fatty acids. The main ones are the polyunsaturated fatty acids omega-6 and omega-9, which regulate good cholesterol levels in the blood. These acids support normal endocrine system function and improve metabolism.
Vitamins: Nigella sativa oil contains a complex of B vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B6 and B9. It also contains vitamins A, K, C and D.
B vitamins stimulate metabolism, benefit the skin, nails and hair, lower “bad” cholesterol and support the nervous system. Vitamin B9, or folic acid, plays a special role for pregnant women. It is responsible for proper fetal development and helps ease the woman’s condition during and after pregnancy.
Vitamin A (retinol) supports female reproductive function, vitamin K is involved in blood clotting, and vitamin C forms collagen and is essential for the skin. Vitamin D promotes calcium absorption, which benefits the bones.

Contraindications and dosage

For children under 3, Nigella sativa oil should be taken only as prescribed by a doctor; from age 3, use with caution and make sure there is no allergic reaction.
Although Nigella sativa oil is not characterised by absolute harm to humans, it is best used with caution in certain conditions: pregnancy, hyperkinetic disorders of the biliary system, acute gastritis, diarrhoea, blood clotting disorders, and systemic or local allergic skin manifestations.
Take on an empty stomach: half or a whole teaspoon twice a day, before breakfast and before lunch.
In capsule form, take 2 capsules three times a day before meals.
